Saturday Sites 8-17-13!!!

Hi everyone!! I had a wonderful vacation!! I think all of Iman's posts were fabulous, and all of her cooking looks sooo yummy!!!!! No one sent in emails for the special Saturday Sites, so we are just going to do a normal one. :)

  • Quick and Easy Back-to-School Doll Hairstyles! Liz at American Girl fan posted some super cute back to school hairstyles that are easy and stylish!!! There is a hairstyle perfect for any length of hair!! Go check it out!!!!
  • Making an Earring Tree for Your Dolls!  Jen and Zoey at AG Doll Play made an earring tree similar to the one that comes with the AG storage tower. Except, it is even cuter and more adorable!! The owl that they made matches the blankets they have for the dolls, so it is just perfect!!! If you don't check this out, then all I have to say to you is.... Ggrrrrrr!! :)
  • The Our Generation homepage is really cute!! You can find all of their outfits and look up close at them like AG. Sadly you cannot order directly from them. I had a lot of fun looking at their outfits and dolls. While not every single one of their products is cute, they have a couple dolls and outfits that look really nice!!! And because it is all cheaper then AG... ;)
I hope you enjoyed this week's Saturday Sites!!! Iman and I both start school next week, so we probably will not post every day as we get used to the chaos again!! I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!!! Thanks for reading!!!

My Back-To-School trends!!

Hey Girls! Today I am going to show you an ideal back-to-school outfit I created for myself by putting different items together! Enjoy!

This backpack is perfect for me! I love the botanical design! It has 5 pockets and is great for girls that want something cute and still has tons of room. I bought this for myself online at Amazon!

This mani is perfect for school for obvious reasons!
These shoes are super comfy and go with a lot of clothes! Go Converse! I own these shoes and they are just perfect for almost any typical occasion for a girl!
This pair of floral pants is simply pretty feminine, I love the use of the pastel colors for this beautiful print!
I love owls! This shirt is so adorable! Purple with yellow surely will make this outfit pop!
Stay cute and comfy in a jean jacket to tone down the bright graphic tee for a cool rock look! I own one very similar looking and I use it quite often.
To finish off this too cute to be true fashion statement...go ahead and  make a quick simple messy bun and push a pencil into the proper place......and wala!! You are one awesome looking girl too smart for school! :)

Hannah will be back tomorrow for our normal weekly Saturday Sites. I had fun filling in for her while she was away! :) I would love questions and comments from you girls!

Shortbread cookies!

Hi! :) Do you love cookies!?! I do :) I made.... *pause for effect* SHORTBREAD cookies!!!!! =D

The ingredients used!
Whoopie pans are helpful when baking to create a nice round shape.
After 15 minutes, they're fresh out of the oven...I am waiting *ahem* not very patiently *ahem* for the cookies to cool
Aaah they look so delicious! :)

Only one more post before Hannah starts posting again! :) If you make these cookies please let me know how your cookies turned out. :) I would love to hear from you.

Back-To-School Madness!!!

Do you girls love to go back-to-school shopping as much as I do? If so, you're in for a real treat! :) This week's Randomness post will have a back-to-school theme of cute, fun, girly, and artsy supplies! :) Ok enough with the chit chat let's get started! I am sorry that some of these supplies look slightly blurry. I don't know what's going on with blogger lately. :(

These pens are one of my favorites! Usually erasable pens don't write well, but these pens defy that trend. Some of my classmates owned them and they worked very well when I borrowed them to work on a project and had forgotten my own. But I have to say I think my lack of responsibility that day was meant to be! =D

I have never been able to solve a full rubik's cube but it seemed like everyone at school brought them and were all able to do it! I would really like to learn this skill.... anyway this rubik's cube is perfect for writing little comments and *ahem* passing notes at school! (just kidding...never do that people get in trouble all the time) I have never perfected this sneaky task. :)

Oooh lala look at the bright red that will highlight your lips! No *ahem* pun intended! =D These highlighters are a must-have for any girly girl! :)
Apparently, the lipstick shaped highlighters weren't enough! :) They just had to create high styler, nail polish shaped highlighters!
I was never really into hello kitty for myself when I was little but now I think it's super cute....thus, this super adorb calculation tool! :) (yes I am being my geeky nerdyish self)
These bows are so so so so so so........perfect for me!!! :) *shrieks at top of lungs from results on cuteness meter* (yes you can calm down now and realize we both did just freak out over an ADORRRRABLE pencil case) :) Yes, in case you were wondering I also have a thing for bows just like you!
They say... a girl can never have enough shoes! (wait....who's they? Hmmmm....) Anyways.. are these slipper pencil cases not stylish and cute enough for a stylish girl like you?! I know I love this idea!
I have owned these pens for a really long time and they still are in great condition! They come in a variety color 16-pack at Staples! They are awesome for art projects and doodling!

You are now sadly coming to the end of another post by.......

*IMPORTANT* The opinions on my posts are solely my own and I am not affiliated with any companies that make the products unless I mention otherwise.

Hey girls! Guess what?! I made pizza! This pizza recipe mentions 3 methods which are using a stand mixer, kneading the dough by hand, and using a food processor. I chose to knead the dough by hand.

This is what my dough looked like at step 3 of the recipe.
At the end of step 4 I did use plastic wrap. (it is optional to refrigerate for 1 to 2 days so I did not)
This pizza has pesto instead of tomato sauce. The toppings include
jalapeƱos, pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, and onions.
Tomato sauce is used in this pizza and pepperoni, jalapeƱos,bell peppers, olives, onions and sliced tomatoes are the toppings.
Every topping from both the pizzas above were used and half was covered in tomato sauce and half with pesto.

I used a pizza stone like they mentioned in the recipe.

With chili flakes and shredded parmesan cheese these pizzas tasted perfect to me!

Crafty Monday: How to make a Zipperless Pencil Case!!!

Hello everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend!! Today's craft is a pencil case that uses the technique of overlapping the edges of the pouch to ensure items stay in the pouch. Here is what you will need:
  • Needle and thread
  • Fabric
  • Scissors
I used fleece because it has a slight give.

Gather your supplies...

Cut a rectangle that has nearly straight edges on the short sides out of your fabric and fold it in half.

Unfold it and fold one side in to the center.

Fold the other end up and over the other flap. Be sure to leave a bit of overhang where the two sides overlap.

Stitch up the sides. Be sure to do neat, clean stitches and be patient.

Flip it right side out.

You now have a cute pencil case!! This could also be used as a wallet or add some ribbon to make a purse!

You don't have to keep pencils in here, you could also keep some hair supplies or little knick-knacks.

Isn't it adorable!! Thanks for reading!!!
